Cookies & Tracking
This page explains what cookies and similar storage technologies Saarathi uses, and what we don’t. It applies to the marketing website at saarathi.us / www.saarathi.us and to the web version of the app at saarathi.us/app.
1. The marketing website
The marketing pages (this page, the home page, support, contact, and the legal pages) are statically served HTML. They do not set any cookies and do not currently include third-party trackers.
The only client-side storage these pages use is the browser’s built-in cache for HTML, CSS, and image files. That cache is managed by your browser; we do not write to it programmatically.
2. The web app (saarathi.us/app)
The web version of the Saarathi app uses your browser’s local storage to keep things working. Specifically:
| What | Where | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Authentication session | localStorage (key set by Supabase Auth) |
So you stay signed in between visits. |
| Language preference | localStorage |
So the app remembers whether you read in English, Hindi, or Kannada. |
| App preferences (theme, last-viewed tab) | localStorage |
Small conveniences so the app feels consistent across sessions. |
These are first-party storage entries. They are not shared with third parties.
3. Analytics and tracking
The marketing pages do not currently use third-party analytics tools, advertising networks, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking. The web app sets only the first-party storage items listed above.
If we add analytics or other tracking in the future, we will update this page and our Privacy Policy and tell you in the app or by email.
4. How to control storage
Your browser controls cookies and local storage. You can clear them at any time:
- Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
Clearing the storage used by the web app will sign you out and reset your language preference. The app will continue to work; you will just have to sign in again.
